The Ancoats Canal Project - June 24th

Postby cubicgarden » Thu Jun 21, 2012 9:53 pm

Hopfully the weather is good this weekend as we have a work boat to help us on our Rochdale clean up and for the BBC to film as part of a piece about canal volunteering. So if you want to be on TV.... come along this Sunday!

The next event of the Ancoats Canal Project will be a cleanup on Sunday June 24 on the Rochdale. We’ll be finishing clearing the towpath upstream from Union Street bridge, in front of Flint Glass Wharf and around Rodney Street footbridge as well cleaning up the Union Street Bridge tunnel and maybe evening cleaning up some planter areas. We’ll be meeting at corner of Redhill Street and Radium Street.

There will be two sessions: one from 10:30 to 12:30 and one from 13:00 to 15:30.

Come to one, or both if you’re keen!

We’ll provide tea and coffee and even some sandwiches at lunch.
More often than not we go for a social drink afterwards.
